Looking for a VertaaUX alternative?

VertaaUX scans seven dimensions in one pass and, unusually, will run inside a build pipeline: an API, a command line and an editor integration mean a page can be checked before it is deployed at all. That is a genuinely good idea and we are building toward the same thing, currently in alpha. Two differences stand today. Nothing is published about what their seven scores were fitted to, where ours are anchored to ratings collected from real readers. And once their scan is written, nothing follows it up, while we come back at 30, 60 and 90 days with what your search traffic actually did.

The scoring behind your audit is state of the art: more than a dozen machine-learning models, several built on research published in the last two years, benchmarked on held-out data and calibrated to how thousands of real people rated thousands of real web pages. No other audit at this price grades a site this way.

When to choose VertaaUX

Pick VertaaUX if the checking needs to happen in the build rather than after it. Nothing else in this comparison plugs into a pipeline as thoroughly, and being able to fail a build on an accessibility regression is worth real money to a team shipping every week. Three scans a day at no cost is also unusually generous, their coverage of the published accessibility standard is explicit, and buying credits outright rather than subscribing suits a team that ships in bursts.

When to choose you x you i

Choose us when the score has to mean something outside the tool that produced it, and when somebody needs to know afterwards whether the work paid. Ours are anchored to ratings real readers gave real pages, so the same page scores the same twice. Connect Search Console and we report at 30, 60 and 90 days on what moved. A single audit is $5 and carries no subscription with it.

VertaaUX vs you x you i: common questions

Can I run your audit in a build pipeline?

Partly, and we would rather be straight about where that stands. There is an API endpoint you can call with a key from a build step or a scheduled job today. What we do not yet ship is a command line, an editor integration or a documented recipe for failing a build, so treat this as early access rather than a finished feature.

Why does checking a page before launch matter?

Because the alternative is finding out from customers who already left. Waiting for live tests and recordings to reveal a broken page means paying for the traffic that discovers the problem. Reading the page first costs nothing but the reading.

They cover the accessibility standard explicitly. Do you?

Yes, and it is one of the rows above rather than a claim in a paragraph. We check whether somebody using a screen reader can get through the page, and we say what failed rather than handing you a compliance percentage.

What happens after either tool gives me a score?

With them, the scan is the end of it. With us it is the start: connect Search Console once and every later audit is set against an estimate of what your traffic would have done without the changes, so you get a range rather than a hunch.

What is the audit based on?

Our own machine-learning models, each tuned on hundreds of real business pages and checked against the web standards professionals use for speed, accessibility, readability, and brand. Where a single-purpose tool checks one slice of your site, every score here comes from published research and is ranked by what actually moves visitors.
